about me

hi! i’m sanna

i am the definition of a generalist. my educational background is in disease vector research and human psychology, but i’ve held creative content, research, communications, and marketing roles ever since i joined the workforce. i’ve always struggled to define myself within one given career path, when what really fascinates me is the reiterative nature of absolutely everything.

my general perspective is:

the fibonnaci sequence — nature’s secret code — finds each new Fn formed by the sum of the previous two integers. this pattern manifests in countless organic ways: tree branches and leaves grow according to the golden ratio , so too — as evidenced by meiosis and population statistics — does mankind.

and…. what are we, if not a sliver of the whole? one fraction, one expression, of the sum total of human existence as distilled from antiquity? we inherit the past both culturally and within the blueprints of our bodies. one theory held by evolutionary biologists suggests humans might harbor a fear of spiders and snakes because this fear has been passed down within our genetic material. contemporarily, discussions on collective trauma and its intergenerational effects.

so, then – how much of our experience is reiterative? how many of our own stories would we see in examining the shades and veins of a leaf, if only we had been given the primer?

which is to say:

the infrastructure of our world is held aloft by interdependent, entwined cultural systems. as we wade waist-deep into the silicon age, the most successful companies, products, and people must consider all of these systems during product + programmatic design.

which is [also] to say:

i have strong opinions, loosely held. i believe existence is best lived in flux: fight for the execution of your moral code, but listen to the ideas of others – and leave space for them to change your mind.
